Nutrafol for Men – What is it and Does it Work?

Nutrafol for Men – What is it and Does it Work?

By Limmer HTC - In Hair Loss Education - January 14, 2022

It’s a new year, which means new year’s resolutions. Eating healthy, getting in shape, and treating your body better are always at the top of most people’s lists, but that’s a lot easier said than done.

As our bodies age there are some things we can control: weight gain, exercise, and a balanced diet are all things that can be managed through a little hard work and will power, but what about hair loss?

Hair loss is one of those things that will eventually happen to nearly every man as the years pass. By age 80, about 80 percent of men and over 50 percent of women will begin to experience male/female pattern baldness. Unfortunately, this type of baldness and thinning is mainly due to genetics and there isn’t much you can do to stop it, but there are treatments you can use to help slow the process.  There are also procedures that can be done to move healthy follicles around your head to give you a fuller head of hair.

If you’re not looking to undergo hair transplant surgery, there are many non-surgical treatments and options that can help bring back some of the fullness to your hair and one of those products is Nutrafol.

What is Nutrafol?

There are a lot of different over-the-counter supplements that claim to help with hair loss and hair thinning, but one that we like in particular is Nutrafol.

Nutrafol is designed to be 100% natural (drug-free) and has been clinically studied to show improvement in hair loss and hair thinning due to stress, hormone imbalance, and inadequate diets.

Nutrafol’s natural ingredients target key areas that can cause stress, DHT, inflammation, and compromised nutrition as a way of reducing thinning hair.

How Does Nutrafol Work For Men?

Men and women’s bodies are different in ways that can cause hair loss. That’s why Nutrafol offers different formulas for men and women in the fight against thinning hair.

In the case of men, DHT (dihydrotestosterone) is usually responsible for hormonal hair loss which can lead to hair thinning and permanent hair loss. Nutrafol uses Saw Palmetto as a way to help lower the amount of DHT present in the scalp. Too much DHT can cause hair follicles to shrink over time so that eventually the hair won’t grow back.

By limiting the production of DHT that your hair follicles are exposed to, we can help prevent that shrinkage and prolong the thinning of the hair.

In addition to Saw Palmetto, there are other ingredients within Nutrafol that target things like inflammation, stress hormones, the actual hair nutrition, and more. All of these things working together can help slow the thinning of the hair, while providing vitamins and nutrients to help keep the hair strong and thick.

Ashwagandha is a medicinal herb that is believed to help balance out your cortisol levels rises with stress so in essence, it can combat the hormonal changes brought on by hectic schedules and harried lives we all tend to lead.  Combined with tocotrienols, which are part of the vitamin E family, this combination of natural ingredients can help with oxidative stress and an imbalance of free radicals in the body.

Lowering your stress response this way may help reduce your hair thinning.

Nutrafol also contains key vitamins like C, D, Biotin, zinc and selenium which are important factors in healthy hair synthesis. Along with other great ingredients like collagen, turmeric, black pepper and many others is why Dr. Krejci feels Nutrafol is an excellent and comprehensive hair and health supplement.

The natural ingredients in Nutrafol are designed to help correct the underlying cause of your hair loss or hair thinning instead of resorting to hair transplant surgery.

Of course, in some circumstances a hair transplant procedure may be the only option to help reverse the hair loss you are experiencing. Visiting a hair loss specialist is the best way to determine what is causing your hair loss and what the best course of action is when treating it.

In a lot of cases, doctors and surgeons will just look at treating the symptoms of an issue, but a skilled hair loss specialist will take the time to determine exactly what the underlying cause of your hair thinning may be, and then treat it at the source.

This can help save you time, money, and discomfort in the long run by putting together a plan of attack based on the science of the body.

At the Limmer Hair Transplant Center we have been using Nutrafol to help men and women with hair thinning to balance out the vitamins and hormones in their body to help promote thicker hair growth in an all-natural way.

If you want to know more about Nutrafol and find out if it might be the right solution for you, please contact us today to setup a consultation with our doctor.
