What Is Formula 82F?
Formula 82F builds on the foundational ingredient of minoxidil by adding 0.25% topical finasteride. 5% minoxidil and oral finasteride are FDA-approved treatments for hair growth, so this formula combines their effects into one convenient solution. Finasteride works by blocking DHT, the hormone responsible for shrinking hair follicles in people with patterned hair loss. What Is Formula 82D?
Formula 82D is the most potent topical in the Hair Science family. Instead of finasteride, it uses 0.75% dutasteride, a more powerful DHT blocker. Like the other formulas, 82D includes minoxidil, tretinoin, and a soothing anti-inflammatory agent to help support a healthy scalp.

Formula 82M contains 5% minoxidil alone without finasteride or dutasteride.

To start, the addition of tretinoin to enhance absorption and a mild topical steroid to reduce irritation do make this product potentially more effective as well as more tolerable. Additionally, Formula 82M is free of propylene glycol. That means it dries quickly, doesn’t leave your hair greasy, and is less likely to cause itching or flaking. What Is Formula 82S?
