Summer Events and Activities in San Antonio 2025

Fiesta Noche del Rio

Spend a summer evening under the stars at the Arneson River Theatre on the Riverwalk. From June 6 to August 2, 2025, enjoy Fiesta Noche del Rio—a lively outdoor show filled with music, dancing, and vibrant costumes that celebrate San Antonio’s rich cultural heritage.

Shows take place on Friday and Saturday nights at 8:30 PM, and proceeds benefit local children’s charities. It’s a fun, festive experience you won’t want to miss!

SeaWorld San Antonio & Aquatica

For family-friendly fun, SeaWorld San Antonio and its waterpark Aquatica offer shows, animal encounters, water rides, and much more.

In summer 2025, SeaWorld’s Summer Spectacular runs from May 31 through August 3, ending each night with fireworks or a special show. If you’re there on the Fourth of July, don’t miss the massive patriotic celebration and light show.

First Friday Art Walk – Southtown

Every first Friday of the month, the Southtown Arts District comes alive with street art, gallery openings, food trucks, live music, and pop-up events.

Walk the streets, grab a cold drink, and discover the creative side of San Antonio. This event is especially fun for couples and groups of friends looking for a casual and lively night out.

Summer Concerts at the Alamodome – Shakira & The Weeknd

Get ready, music fans! Shakira and The Weeknd are bringing their world tours to San Antonio’s Alamodome this summer!

  • Shakira will light up the stage with her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour with incredible energy, iconic dance moves, and all your favorite hits.
  • The Weeknd is set to deliver an unforgettable night with his After Hours til Dawn Tour, blending moody beats, soaring vocals, and a stunning live production.

Salute at Sunset River Parade

San Antonio is also known as “Military City, USA” with all the military bases located here. From basic training to retirement, thousands of soldiers and veterans make San Antonio their home.

The Riverwalk in San Antonio is a great place to spend your summer evenings. This year there are four free river parades starting on July 3rd running through July 5th, during which you’ll be able to show your support for our United States military with the Salute at Sunset Armed Forces River Parade.

Catch decorated floats representing all branches of our military as they cruise down the river. The parade features military members, local businesses, and organizations that honor active and retired military members.

Pride River Parade & Celebration

The Annual Pride River Parade will take place on Saturday, May 31, 2025. San Antonio proudly supports inclusion and celebrates its LGBTQ+ community with a colorful and festive event right on the Riverwalk.

Enjoy two showings of the parade:

  • Museum Reach Parade from 5-6 PM
  • Downtown Parade from 8-9:30 PM

Before and after the parades, stick around for music, food, and dancing all along the river.

Tower of the Americas

If you’re looking for the best view of the city, then head up to the Tower of the Americas. This iconic landmark offers a 750-foot view of the San Antonio skyline from its observation deck.

You’ll also find the Chart House Restaurant for fine dining with a view, and the Skies Over Texas 4D experience, which are both great for learning more about our state in a fun, interactive way.

This is a fantastic indoor activity to beat the summer heat and still take in something spectacular.

River City Ghost Tours

Looking to dive into San Antonio’s haunted past? The River City Ghosts Tour takes you through Old Town and historic locations with spooky tales and local legends that you won’t hear in a classroom.
