What is Regenera Activa AMT?
A cutting edge, one-of-a-kind technology used in AMT® (Autologous Micrografting Technology) procedures: a quick and effective method for regenerating bio-tissues through class IIa medical devices.
AMT® is an innovative and effective regenerative procedure, capable of obtaining autologous micro-grafts from any body tissue to enhance self-regenerative. Through a minimal risk process in a single session, the patient is a donor and recipient of autologous micro-grafts, allowing the recipient area to benefit from the regenerative activity of the progenitor cells and growth factors extracted from their own donor site.
Regenera is a system developed in Spain that uses small skin biopsies from your scalp to obtain stem cells from the dermal papilla and adipose tissue around the healthy hair follicles. These small biopsies are taken from the back or side of the head where the hairs are identified as the healthiest. The skin tissue is processed through a unique device to create a solution that is then injected back into the area of thinning.
Regenera Activa is an innovative treatment procedure in which the scalp is injected with special suspension containing stem cells, growth factors and progenitor cells with extremely powerful regenerative properties. The treatment leads to stimulation of hair growth, hair thickening and inhibition of hair loss.
EFFECTS:
- stimulating the growth of new hair
- hair thickening
- inhibition of hair loss
- boosting the regeneration processes
INDICATIONS:
- androgenic alopecia / male pattern hair loss
- androgenic alopecia / female pattern hair loss
- age related hair thinning
- other hair loss
What Does the Treatment Look Like?
The treatment procedure is divided into 3 stages:
The first stage involves collection of 1 to 3 skin samples (specimens) from the Patient. They are collected from the occipital area as it is the least susceptible to androgenic alopecia. These samples are very small, measuring approx. 2.5 mm in diameter, so the collection site will heal quickly. If needed, absorbable sutures are used on the biopsy sites.
During the second stage, the collected material is placed into a special device, where the suspension containing stem cells, growth factors and progenitor cells will be isolated.
The last stage consists of injecting the suspension into the scalp in order to initiate the regenerative processes.
Is the Treatment Painful?
The collection of samples is practically pain-free. During the mesotherapy procedure on the scalp, the Patient experiences a slight pricking sensation.
Recommended Number of Treatment Procedures
The procedure is performed in a single session and can be repeated after 1-2 years.
How Long Does the Procedure Take?
The entire procedure takes approximately 1 hour and has virtually no downtime.
POST-Procedure RECOVERY
Immediately after the procedure, the skin may feel a little bit tender. A small amount of local anesthetic is used to obtain the scalp biopsies but the procedure requires no medications or other anesthesia so you are able drive home afterwards. The procedure does not prevent patients from participating in their daily activities. However, it is advisable to avoid swimming pools, saunas, excessive sun exposure to the scalp and strenuous physical effort for 1-2 days afterwards.
Contraindications
- blood-clotting (coagulation) disorders
- therapy with blood-thinning drugs (e.g. Aspirin)
- allergy to lidocaine contained in the local anesthetic
