Summer Events and Activities in San Antonio
Armed Forces River Parade
San Antonio is also known as “Military City, USA” with all the military bases located here. From basic training to retirement, thousands of soldiers and veterans make San Antonio their home. The Riverwalk in San Antonio is a great place to spend your summer evenings, and on July 2nd you’ll be able to show your support for our United States military with the Armed Forces River Parade.
Starting at 6PM you can catch decorated floats representing all branches of our military as they float down the river through San Antonio. The parade will feature military members as well as businesses and nonprofits that honor and support active and retired military members.

Bud Light Pride River Parade and Celebration
The 2nd annual Pride River Parade will come through San Antonio on Saturday June 10th this year. Celebrate inclusion and support of the LGBTQ+ community by enjoying two showings of the pride parade on the river. The parade will arrive downtown at 4PM and then at Museum Reach at 7PM. There will also be live on-stage entertainment at La Villita’s Arneson River Theatre from 1-5PM.

Schlitterbahn New Braunfels Waterpark & Resort
Just outside of San Antonio you’ll find the Schlitterbahn New Braunfels Waterpark and Resort. This is a great place to take the whole family if you’re looking for a way to beat the heat.
