Hair Transplant Services We Offer in Texas

At Limmer Hair Transplant Center, we offer a variety of different methods to help slow, treat, and fix your hair loss. Our options range from hair transplant surgery to non-surgical medications and therapies, all designed to help restore that beautiful head of hair.

Types of Hair Transplant Surgery

Limmer HTC specializes in two of the most common hair restoration surgical procedures: the follicular unit transplantation (FUT) and the follicular unit excision (FUE). Though all patients should expect the same natural-looking, permanent results, the specific surgical techniques do vary slightly.

With both the FUT and the FUE procedures, surgeons harvest 100s or even 1000s of hair follicles. Once the hairs have been harvested, technicians place the removed follicles, now called follicular unit grafts” into tiny incisions made in areas where balding is prevalent.

FUT Method

With an FUT procedure, surgeons remove a narrow strip of skin from the patient’s donor area, located on the back of the head. From those suffering from androgenetic alopecia—more commonly known as male-pattern baldness—hair doesn’t readily fall out in this area of the scalp. This results in a thin linear scar, though it will be entirely hidden under the hair once it’s grown in.

FUE Method w/ Robot Assistance

In contrast, the FUE procedure is conducted with the innovative, cutting-edge tools available. We have used the ARTAS Robotic System, the Trivelline system from Paraguay, and the WAW Duo wireless sytems from Belgium.  Each one offers unique features that allow the doctors to provide the most customized FUE procedure possible.

By staying on top of the latest FUE technology, the different devices provide many benefits including the reduction of physician fatigue and essentially undetectable scarring which allows for shorter haircuts if the patient so chooses.

The ARTAS robot, the latest technologies in handheld devices in hair loss restoration to ensure that our clients are getting the best possible results by excising hair from the healthiest parts of your scalp donor area but also allows for body hair donor sites.

Non-Surgical and Medicinal Hair Loss Treatments

In addition to our hair transplant procedures, we also offer a variety of medical treatments like minoxidil, finasteride / dutasteride, 82F, Nutrafol, and Votesse which are oral and topical solutions that can help slow down hair loss and promote hair growth.

PRP treatments, or platelet rich plasma, is a process in which platelets extracted from the patient’s own blood, are injected into the scalp to help stimulate hair growth.

Alma TED, or Trans Epidermal Delivery is the newest therapy on the rise for hair restoration. It utilizes and proprietary Growth Factor Serum delivered by ultrasound to the scalp to stimulate hair growth. The advantage to this treatment is that there are no needles so it’s essentially painless.

And finally, Low-Level Laser Light Therapy, also known as Photo Biomodulation comes in different styles of devices such as caps, helmets or bands that sit on top of a patient’s head and uses low-level lasers light to help stimulate hair growth. The devices used by Dr. Krejci are specifically lasers, not LED, in order to penetrate and stimulate the mitochondria and stem cells of the hair roots. The hair grows from the root up, not from the surface of the skin downwards.

Just know that if you’re experiencing hair loss, a surgical hair transplant is not your only option.

Virtual Consultations for Out of Town Guests

While the Limmer Hair Transplant Center main offices are located in San Antonio, Texas, we offer the ability to do virtual consultations with our doctor at your convenience, from anywhere in the world.  With virtual consultations, one of Board-Certified Dermatologists can analyze your hair, based on photos and/or video conference, to help advise on what your next steps should be.

So even if you’re located somewhere else in the country, virtual consultations are a great way for you to determine whether you may or may not be a good candidate for a hair transplant procedure, without even stepping foot out of your house.

And after your consultation, if you feel like our office is a good fit, we offer a variety of hotel options and travel accommodations for those clients coming in from out of town.

Interested in a virtual consultation? Simply go to our Photo Consultations page and fill out the form, along with multiple photos of your hair, head, and scalp. Once we have your information, our office will reach out to you and discuss what we feel the best options are for your hair loss.
