What is Low-Level Laser Light Therapy?
Sometimes known as red light therapy, low-level laser light therapy is used to treat the genetic forms of hair loss common in men and women, androgenetic alopecia or pattern balding.
How does laser hair therapy work?
The exact mechanism by which low-level laser light therapy promotes hair growth is not fully understood, but the most recent research has identified that the light is absorbed into the cells, triggering enhanced cellular activity. In other words, it makes aging cells more active, which, in-turn, can stimulate hair growth.
iGrow Hair Growth System
At the Limmer Hair Transplant Center we use The iGrow System. iGrow has been specifically designed with safety features for at home, office and travel, including a safety mechanism controlling both laser and LED devices.
By combining both Laser and LED into the iGrow system, it can target specific wavelengths thought to stimulate hair follicle cells while also providing a broader light beam to cover a wider area of the scalp.
The iGrow is one of the most powerful hair growth systems developed for home use, and has an equivalent output to most in-office hair lasers. The system is designed with your comfort in mind and is fully automated via pre-programed sessions to allow you to sit back and relax while the device does all the work.
